Welcome!

Hey there! If you’re reading this, thank you so much for being part of this journey. Honestly, it means the world to me that you’re checking out the very first devlog for Starskiff.

I’m still figuring out the best way to format these devlogs, but I want to keep it personal, transparent, and focused. You can expect sections like “Main Changes” and “What’s Next” in future updates. But for this launch, I wanted to share a bit more about why I started Starskiff and what it means to me.

Thanks again for being here and giving this a shot. Feedback is always appreciated (seriously), but no pressure! Let’s dive into the first update.

Main Changes

From the Initial Demo of Starskiff, here’s what’s been added:

  1. User Authentication – Set up secure sign-in.
  2. Database Integration – Your data is now safely stored.
  3. Repository Creation – Build and manage your own Repos.
  4. File Uploads – File handling is now generalized across the board.
  5. API Key Generation – You can now create API keys to access your data.
  6. Usage Monitoring – I’m tracking API usage and how much each request costs me (don’t worry, everything is free for now — more on that later).
  7. Documentation – Detailed docs to help you get started.

A lot has been added and there’s a lot more to go! I have a good idea of where I want to take this, but my first goal is to make Starskiff something that people want.

What’s Next

  1. Pipelines – Node-based workflows for RAG.
  2. Billing – Setting up billing. Implementing a generous free tier.
  3. RAG Improvements – Improving data ingestion methods along with more customizable ingestion options.

Closing Thoughts

To wrap things up, thank you again for being here. Whether you’re a dev looking to build something cool or just curious about the project, I’m excited to see where Starskiff takes us. Your input is going to be what drives this forward, so if you have thoughts or feedback, I’m all ears.

Let’s build something great together.
